Nor was  Jesus downplaying the importance of the work Martha was doing after all,

One day the heavenly

 So many miracles happened in Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum;

but the hearts of their citizens remained cold and unresponsive.

Jesus laments what will happen to the three Jewish towns where He performed many signs.

He contrasts these with three Gentile cities known.

The Jewish towns are simply stubborn and hard-headed. That is why Jesus could only cry at their future fate.
