The father is moved with pity. Tears of joy flow from his eys. He runs to
meet his son and then embraces him.

Whatever town or village you
enter, look for a worthy person
in it, and stay there until you
leave. If the house is worthy,
let your peace come upon it; if
not, let your peace return to
you.

He spends all his money with friends. They drink, sing, and do a lot of
foolish things. All the money is soon gone.

Unless you turn to and become like children, you will not enter the
kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the
greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

One day, they ask him, "Master,
teach us to pray the way you do."
Jesus tells them, "This is how
you are to pray."

Jesus wants children with him because they are pure at heart, "the
kingdom of heven belongs to those who are like them."

I tell you the sinner went home forgiven but the Pharisee went home
worse than before.

When evening comes, the owner pays the workers, giving
everyone a day's wage. But those who worked since dawn complain.

Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for
your reward will be great in heaven.

Do not behave like the bad servant. Instead, be merciful as your Father
in heaven is merciful.
